WashWorld

Maybe this is wrong, but I am super-stoked over going to WashWorld tonight. WashWorld is basically the ultimate car wash mecca. I picked up the Accord last night and tonight I get to go wash it and vacuum it and shampoo the seats and detail the inside. I love the feeling of having a totally clean car, it's like a fresh start.

Ok, I'm weird.

Picasa

Picasa is my new favorite software, and everyone should go get it and use it. It is software for viewing/organizing/printing...digital pictures, and it rocks. It's made by Google and it is really user friendly and intelligently designed. And if you can't figure something out, the Help link is quite useful.

And check the "Red Eye" fixing thing, Vicki loves it!

Burnt fingers are delicate

I burnt my fingers a couple weeks ago and they've healed up really nicely. However, they're obviously not done healing because the skin on them right now is about as strong as rice paper. Currently, I have 6 separate wounds on the 3 fingers from just bumping them against something accidentally. It doesn't even hurt when it happens, but it's a pain in the butt cause they start to bleed.

The moral(sp?) of the story is, don't burn your fingers cause it's a pain in the butt.

....and to think, I give this kind of wisdom out for free.....

The Reason

Put simply, this is why we do what we do; for them.

Thank you Vicki, for everything.

The 'New' Car

Today is the day I pick up the 'new to us' 1991 Accord. I drove back home this weekend in the Civic and left it there to be sold eventually. So, today I pick up the Accord, and let the countdown begin. I think I said about two weeks til it explodes on me, so let's see how close I am.
Again, the weekend at home was busier than weekends should be, but what can you do? We made the best of it and it is always worth any effort it takes to see my girls(all 3 of them).
Only 4 more sleeps til I go back for Christmas holidays and I will be back home for 10 days!
I can hardly wait.
Wish me luck with the car, and place your bets!

I'm so tired it kind of hurts...

I decided that since I'm down here at the coast and I don't know when I'll have an opportunity to be living without responsibilities like this again, I shouldn't waste the opportunity and I should do some impulsive, fun things that I couldn't do in my real life.
So, I decided to go with Jeremy last night to see the midnight showing of King Kong. I figured, so maybe I get to bed at 2am or so, that's not so bad. So, the movie was great, really well done. I have to say I enjoyed it all, all 3 Freakin' Hours of it! Yes, too late it was realized that it wasn't a regular length movie, it was 'Titanic-esque' in its length. So, I got to bed at around 3:45am. I decided to splurge and let myself sleep in til 7am, so I got over 4 solid hours of sleep. As it turns out though, my body apparently likes more sleep than that. I'll try to remember that for next time.
So, now I'm at work, and I'm hurting, and I have people talking to me all morning about calculus algorithms and code bugs.
My coffee is my only friend today.

Still, it was worth it.

Maybe I should walk...

I hate shopping for used cars. All I want is a 90-93 Accord in decent shape. But I also have to find a decent way to offload my current 90 Civic. I can offload the Civic at a dealership, but first I have to find a reputable dealership that has an Accord for me, and then I have to accept that I am going to get absolutely "bent over" on the price of the Accord and the value of my Civic. But what's my choice? I don't have a reasonable contact number down here, so even if I had the time to try to sell the Civic privately, it would be a huge pain. Plus, I still have to find a decent Accord.
Anyway, the end result will always be the same. I will pay too much for the Accord, get too little for my Civic, and the Accord will break down in the next 3 weeks. As long as I accept and expect that, I guess it becomes easy!
Ok, I think I'm done whining and complaining for today, check back later for more fun!

And one more thing, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEXANDROS!

Innocence

This picture makes me laugh. Back in the summer Megan smashed her finger while playing Skee-ball and her nail was really black and gross. She always loved showing people, and I laughed every time she did. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all be this innocent?

I had to make my own...

Some of my ideas for "The Rogall Family" blog were being vetoed by a certain somebody, so I've started my own blog and now I have all the freedom in the world! I apologize in advance for the lameness that will most likely follow.
